Charlie Ellins lives on the Trent-Severn Waterway on Lake Couchiching near Orillia, Ontario. He has spent his summers on the Waterway since the 1950's. Charlie enjoys cruising the Trent Severn Waterway aboard his Sea Ray 34 named "Lady Lou"
Charlie has over 60 years experience with the Trent Severn Waterway including one memorable trip where he served as master of his family’s 25 foot inboard cruiser moving it 200 miles from Trenton to Orillia. What’s notable is he did this at the age of 14 with his mother and two little sisters as crew. Charlie has cruised the waterway in portions and from end to end several times. He is the GLCC Port Captain for the entire Trent Severn Waterway where he fields numerous questions from members throughout the summer. Charlie keeps his 34 ft Sea Ray named Lady Lou in the narrows between Lake Simcoe and Lake Couchiching near his home.
